Workshops
WM051: Office Alternatives
Do you have the need for a high quality, full-featured program-suite to perform one or more of the following functions: word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, drawing, or database? This workshop will increase your awareness of alternatives to MS-Office which have a much lower cost or even FREE and to varying degrees are compatible enough to exchange files with others who use MS-Office. The covered MS-Office alternatives include Apple’s iWork suite, OpenOffice, and NeoOffice. As an exercise, the workshop participants will locate NeoOffice on the Web and download it -- it’s FREE. The actual installation will be demonstrated.
